As with all other Kobe models, Bryant wanted a comfortable fit yet stylish shoe. The Zoom Kobe VI was engineered to mold to a player’s foot due to the technology used in the inside sock liners. Additionally, the shoe’s design had inspiration from Bryant’s nickname, “Black Mamba.” As seen in different releases of the Kobe VI, the texture reminds a player of snakeskin and each release had a different color way which was correlated to a specific area, event, or moment significant to Bryant.
